When I made the decision to attend medical school, my goal was to not only get into medical school but also get through it successfully. I knew this meant being both academically and emotionally prepared for the work ahead. The Medical Physiology program at Case Western gave me the opportunity to demonstrate my ability to thrive in the graduate biomedical sciences. I completely changed my study habits and learned how best I receive information and apply difficult concepts. I also worked in Dr. Romani’s lab investigating the role of Annexin-1 as an intermediate anti-inflammatory agent. Working in this lab provided practical experience and improved my ability to critically identify and improve on investigative techniques. I am grateful to be in medical school and thankful to the Medical Physiology program for helping me prepare for this journey!
